GLASLYN TEAM

Candy Schick

Administration
“I grew up in the Kindersley, SK area but I am originally a Manitoba girl. I was raised on an acreage where training and showing horses kept us very busy, but it is a passion I still enjoy today. I am Secretary for the Saskatchewan Paint Horse Club, as well as having been a member of the Board of Directors for Livelong Rec. Association for a few years. My husband, Geoff and I enjoy camping, travelling and spending time with friends and family. We have two daughters, and three wonderful grandchildren that we love to spoil. I started working at AgriTeam Services Inc. in 2011 and couldn’t be happier. They are a great group of people to work with, and I look forward to the future ahead. I really enjoy helping all of our customers that come into the office, and some of them even have a story or two to share to keep you smiling.”

Geoff Schick

Location Operations Manager
“I was born and raised on a farm in Glaslyn, Sk. and graduated from Glaslyn High School in 1990. My wife, Candy, and I live in Livelong, SK and I have two step daughters, 2 granddaughters and a grandson. I have been in the Agriculture industry since 1990. I spend most of the summer at Little Loon Park and enjoy spending time with the grandchildren. In the fall I like to help farmers with their harvest. I really enjoy working for AgriTeam and helping our customers.”

Dave Shepherd

Seasonal
“I started in the grain and Ag retail business in December of 1975 for Sask Wheat Pool. I worked for them in a few locations and moved to Glaslyn in November of 1989. My wife Debbie and I raised our family here. In 2003 the Wheat Pool closed down their operation here, and that same winter the facility was purchased by AgriTeam Services Inc. I started working for them in April 2003 and continue to do so. AgriTeam is a great company to work for as they treat their staff well, are very community minded and support a variety of local projects. We are in the process of expanding our facilities here with a new office and heated warehouse to help serve our customers better. In my leisure time I like to golf, fish and look after our cattle.”

Lauren Salzl, BSA, P.Ag, CCA

Sales Agronomist
“I was born and raised on a small mixed farming operation in southern Alberta. After high school I attended College in the medical field which i soon realized was not for me. I took some years off to work and travel but I was always drawn back to agriculture. I attended the University of Saskatchewan where I acquired my Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, majoring in agronomy, with my thesis on Humic substances. Once I completed my thesis I started working at an ag retail in Lloydminster, where i worked for 4 years. I am now commuting to the lovely town of Glaslyn. I am very excited to be with AgriTeam Services Inc. as a Full time sales agronomist and look forward to working with the team, as well as growers to find solutions that fit their farms. In my spare time I like running, backcountry hiking, and any other outdoor activity.”

Matt Burgess

Location Operation Assistant
“I grew up in the Mervin & Edam area. In 1979 I started work in the logging industry as a skidder operator which led to me moving to the Glaslyn area in 1988. In the spring of 2000 I got my class 1A license and started driving truck in the off peak logging season and drove fertilizer truck for Mid-Sask until the local plant closed their doors. In 2012 I was hired on with AgriTeam delivering fertilizer for the spring seeding season. My wife Vivian and I have 2 children. I enjoy hunting, fishing and camping with my family, which now includes 2 grandsons (so far). When I started working with AgriTeam I seen lots of new country and faces, now I look forward to seeing them again each year.”
